    Just wanted to clarify... we have 20 Shetland geese currently. Our prices reflect roughly the same prices as the Holderreads. Our birds are fertile and come from the most vigorous breeding birds from Holderreads'.

    No, Metzer farms did not get the last of the Hookbills. We did. I know this thread is old but it is important to know that the Holderread Hookbills live on despite Metzer farms having obtained some before the Holderread flock disbanded.

    We can't offer hatching eggs for a few reasons. It makes our birds have to lay more and longer. People get upset if they don't hatch eggs. Hatching eggs de-values (to some extent) the investment (time, money, etc) that we have our into the flock. It's a hard balance not mention the USA/Canada...

    A nice video and all that but just to clarify.. they are not the rarest duck in the world. Probably not even the rarest domestic duck. We have over 150 of them ourselves. Just wanted to add that.
