I have 6 of these chicks. 2 have the black legs and 4 have yellowish/pink legs. I was hoping they'd be true Ameraucanas but figured they must be Easter eggers (because of the legs) as I've watched them mature. Either way they're cool birds :)
This bird is about 8 weeks old. It's feathers on the head are starting to sprout out bit i'm not sure if it's just getting longer due to age. Any guesses on sex? I know it may be too early to tell.
Here is a profile shot of the bird. I'm just assuming it's a barred rock. I'm so new to the chicken game who knows what breed he/she may be haha. Let me know what you think of the bird from this angle.
Big Red looks like a rooster to me but acts like a hen (minus laying eggs yet). He hangs out with hens and has no crow. My other 2 roosters crow and "rule the roost" together. Any help with his breed and sex would be helpful. [/IMG]
A lady was moving and gave me her birds. I'm new to having chickens and still learning breeds. Any help with what these guys/gals are (as far as breed, I know they're chickens haha) I guess we'll call them bird 1, bird 2, etc. as they're identified. Thanks for the help!
