I kept a Moluccan Cockatoo for a few years and he loved raw garlic and dried red chile peppers too. In this case the raw garlic didn't seem to be a problem. Once I married he had to go and he went to a breeder that had a female Moluccan.

Sure looks like rat poop to me...my approximate guess to the size of rat poop is 1/2 to 3/4" long by about 1/4" diameter. Rats can naw through most any container except metal. I find that the typical galvanized metal garbage cans if lidded will keep them out. They have nawed their way into my 50...
I knew a lady many years that was hand feeding several baby Parrots and she had to get up several times at night for quite a while to keep those youngesters a going strong.

I found a fella that used to make feed commercially and I've been using his formulae for about 18 months. It's a bit cheeper and I can recognize whats in it, unlike the commercial stuff in the feed stores around here.

I just bought 50# bags of whole wheat and whole barley from local feed store nearby in Calif and they had to order them in...total cost was around $28. I started the wheat 2 day's ago and I have pretty good germination the barley is next
