    You need to install those two programs on your new machine, and transfer your data over. I'd probably just put the old data on a flash drive and take it to the new machine. I wouldn't suggest mirroring the drive as your drivers won't be the same, and your computer probably won't boot.

    I think the biggest thing you can do here is encourage your son. Let him know he's important and valuable. Try to boost his self confidence. Sports, activities, and clubs are one way that this can help him out. See if he can't find a group of people that he likes hanging around doing things...
