Thanks. I was thinking a leg hobble might be needed. I don't know how, but I imagine I could find a video or article. I have been helping her kind of climb up a towel which has worked to get some "normal" movement.
Any ideas to help this little one? She hatched out last night under a broody hen, but it seems her legs aren't working properly. She couldn't keep up with her siblings and got cold. I've got her under a light and she has had some chick electrolyte water. Thinking sugar water next. Seems she's...
LOL! My boyfriend and I went a little overboard during chick days. We just finished butchering 5 roosters that were supposed to be hens, and we have another several up n' comers that will need to be processed soon that were also supposed to be hens. Oh well. Also, I have 7 ducks and just one is...
Thanks for this thread. I've been collecting hatching eggs to set this week and some of them are really dirty. Gonna brush off what I easily can and leave them dirty. :)
Thanks! I'm going to be setting some eggs on Wed. Doesn't sound like I could get some of yours that quickly unless you could ship tomorrow. Please let me know when you do start to sell them.
Thanks! Really, my boyfriend and I want to incubate our turkey's and duck's eggs, but they aren't laying yet, along with most of our chickens. I read that turkeys don't lay nearly as much, so we'll get some good practice before setting those. :)
So sorry to hear about your babies! I have a banty EE, but she breeds to a banty white leghorn. I am going to set her eggs for the first time next week. If you don't mind the mix, I could send you a little clutch in about 2 weeks or so.
Cool. Sending money now. Got my first incubator, arriving tomorrow. Collecting some banty EE x white leghorn eggs and wanted some extras to set with them. I'm excited!
