    Please help! Backward legs. :( :( :(

Wow, you've taken such special care of him... I'm glad he's in good hands. Are you planning on doing this all for him until he reaches adult hood and out lives his precious life or are you going to give him away when you can't care for him any longer? What are your plans for him?

Do you have any tricks to jump start the egg laying process? Yes, I know nature will truly decide.

Adding a little more calcium to their diet will definitely help when they start laying. Some hens' first few eggs could turn out with soft shells and that could encourage them to start eating their eggs. But if they have enough calcium and vitamins in their diet they should start laying with no...

    Please help! Backward legs. :( :( :(

I'm glad you've started looking for help :) It's best to first find out what the problem actually is. If the legs are broken, dislocated or unfortunately deformed. Then treatment should be a breeze. Let us know how everything goes soon !

    Please help! Backward legs. :( :( :(

It's most likely dislocated. I wouldn't try pushing the legs back yourself. Ask a nice vet if they could do an X-ray or try and help for a small price

Please help. Second bird missing this week

I'm so sorry to hear about your dreadful losses. It's okay to be upset over it. The predator is most likely an aerial predator since you can't see much of a struggle. Unless you let them free range and they were taken when they wandered too far from the coop. Definitely cover the run as...

    Sand Bedding?

Sand gives great drainage and is super easy to clean if you have at least 15cm laid down.

Deciding on a flooring for our run before the rainy season gets here

The drainage of sand is very good. It only fails if you don't rake it every few weeks and break up poo clumps. Also, make it on a slight angle so the rain doesn't puddle up inside the clump. Gravel is too harsh for their feet and could cause bumble foot. Compressed wood chips will rot in the...

    help!!! I messed up!!

I reckon you should flip them... But not NOW and so SUDDENLY Today, put them all gently on their sides, and tomorrow you can completely flip them. Chicks in eggs develop quite similarly despite the way that they are turned. In nature, the eggs are regularly turned by the hens. They should...

    help please my egg

Don't put it in the bowl of water! Just gently (If it hasn't already drowned) put back a few of the egg shells back onto the membrane. Leave it in a closed container under a heat lamp with a tiny lid of warm water inside the box. (For humidity). A photo will really help us know what's...

Please Help!! What is this on Vampire's beak!!!!

That bump on the side of her beak does not look like fowl pox. In my opinion... Make sure the others don't start developing this. I think it's best that you separate her until you find our what is wrong with her and how to treat this. It could turn out to be a fatal disease and I'm sure you...
