help please my egg

I stepped out of my room for literally 6 minutes and my dog got into my room and broke my only egg i got from my job i was taising it it was about to hatch in the next few days i heard chirps but i freaked out and instantly thought i have to have a back up egg so i put it in a bowl witha lid n closed it then i dont know why but i put it back in its egg shell and in a bowl of warm water and under a heat lamp

So the egg your dog got is chirping? Take it out of the water, it could drown. Chirping means it's breathing on its own.

How damaged is the shell, and is the chick hurt?

How is the chick? Don't put it in water, it will drown!

Don't put it in the bowl of water!

Just gently (If it hasn't already drowned) put back a few of the egg shells back onto the membrane. Leave it in a closed container under a heat lamp with a tiny lid of warm water inside the box. (For humidity).

A photo will really help us know what's going on!

Im so thankfull for all the responses...but my step dad threw it in our lake sadly...talking about the circle of life and all that jazz i yelled at him saying it couldve still been alive. But no...i do however have another questiom
