Sorry for the late update, I was waiting a bit to make sure I could give an accurate one.
Outstanding news; She pulled out of it just fine! I can't tell what it was, but I'm glad to say it wasn't merek's. Her legs were never keeping her from walking; it was some neurological damaged she...
Quick update before I reply:
She seems to be doing much better, energy-wise. She's probably one of the most energetic hens in the flock and she's maintaining that energy very well; It seems like she has the will, but still is off-balance. I put her on a small dose of benadryl last night (only...
It's hard to see them, but even after cleaning them off the marks are still very red. There hasn't been much swelling but her feet are a bit redder than usual. I'm not sure what kind of snakes live here, but I found a site that shows which kind.

Just last night, one of my wyndottes started wobbling and limping. It all happened when suddenly all of my hens were scared out of their coop by something, but I can't be sure what it is. We've seen possums, rats, and skunks around my house though I'm not sure if it's any of those things. I know...
Thank you for the electrolyte recipe, I'll be sure to use it. Her poo was liquid this afternoon (from no food) but is now plenty more solid after feeding her bread drenched in water to make sure she had enough water. We've been feeding her regular lay mash and corn, and as well as pumpkin seeds...
I have a 3 month old leghorn who has just started to act strange this morning. Her eyes seem a bit more dim than usual, and she won't walk. I was just thinking that she's just a bit overheated (it was 97° today) but it seems to be more than that. We got her cooled down and she drank some water...
Well, last night, my little Ameraucana injured her wing in the coup. We're guessing it was one of the bigger hens that pecked her. Her wing just dangles a bit, but is functional. She's a bit slower, due to her wing, and we're currently putting antibiotics in her water, and planning to keep her...
Her crop is squishy, and her breath is that bad. She just started drinking a bit of water but stopped after I put a baggie of ice on her back and feet.
Thank you for the advice. This is very sad news, because she is my families favorite chicken. She's usually kept away from the others. This is kind of what happened right before my Barred Rock died. I have no idea what she had, but she passed away quickly.
My australorp cannot walk as of last year when she had mites in her legs, but she got treated. Today she won't drink. It's very hot where I am and she is very overheated- so I'm worried. When I got home, I picked her up to chill her off, but she spit out some saliva. She's not eating her usual...
This kinda connects to my other thread. My chicken was attacked by mites a few months ago and is not able to walk. It does not seem that she is paralyzed or has a broken leg, because she can stand up and keep her balance. We've barely started to excercise her legs to hopefully help her recover...
My Adult Australorp was earlier attacked by mites and she cannot walk, but removed them asap. Now, shed being pecked by one of my Barred Rock chicken to the point where she bleeds. She's fed and given water, but she eats with the others, and she's being pecked simultaneously. She's bled on her...
