    5 week old chicks ok to go outside?

    So I live in Michigan, and we are in line with a nice cold front (Got to love Michigans weather). I have had my 21 5 1/2 week old chicks outside for 3 days now. I have two heat light and 2 heating chicken pads in the coop. Monday we are getting down to 12! Should I let them be or bring them back in?

    I don't know if he was vaccinated or not. He is only 7 months old. No other roosters, and he isn't walking on his elbow. He can walk and run fine, but if he stops he topples over. Just gave him 1ml of B Complex. It has b2 b6 b12 in it. I wish I could up load the video.

    Old chickens, New Coop.

    It's going to sound funny, but I put a battery power lantern in the coop tonight. I turn it on around 8:30pm. They all found there new cozy spot I put the old coop next to the new one for one reason. I have two 6 1/2 week old sliver laced Wyandotte. So the big birds can see but not touch.

    Mosquitos!!!!!

    So I live in Michigan and with all the rain we have had, I think the Mosquito will carry me away! Has anyone here ever used mosquito beater? It says it's safe for people and pets. I don't want my chickens to get sick. But I don't want to be a blood bank either!
