    WOW really... both pullets! I am glad I asked. I guess hens have genetic variability too. what would a rooster look like? either now or at 5/6 mos??? Would they have the distinctive tail feathers and red comb? Thanks for your help! I thought for sure the colorful RIR was a roo... ha:D

    This should be a simple identification but I am not sure which of these RIR is a rooster. I am assuming the RIR with the Green in the neck and in the tail is the rooster. I just want to make sure before we send it to freezer camp Thanks for your help! PS they are 4 months old... sorry I forgot...

    Awesome ladies! I will remember that for the future. I live near phoenix so it shouldn't be a problem to order them! Thanks for the information. I would rather order my own birds so I can pick the breed I want rather than just the regular breeds from the feed store. Thanks again.

    My chickens ate a pigeon.

    I don't think there will be any problem with your eggs. I don't think I would leave the pigeon there for very long, because it will get bacteria growing through it as it decomposes. I am pretty impressed that your chickens took down a pigeon!! Crazy tough birds!
