Hi!
my family has a welsummer rooster that's 5-6 months old and he hasn't started to crow yet. What age do roosters start to crow? Cause we have lots of neighbors saying that he should be crowing by now.
alright, so our chickens move into their coop a few weeks ago and we're noticing and interesting pattern, all 9 chicks sleep together in the same roosting box! Is this like normal chicken behavior? cause i am not sure.
alright, so our Welsummers feathers are coming in,in fact most that their chest feathers coming in and now we are having problems telling male from female along with some pullets that we are clueless about except for a big on that is fairly rude...... so here I am! your help is greatly...
alright I guess I'll wait a little bit on the chickens. Besides the point i had a chicken in my lap today while watching TV today. Then our dog heard chirping and kind of ran across the room scared out of his mind cause he had no clue that the thing in my lap was. So, i have a feeling he won't...
oh yeah i had bees...for about one summer till we realized they were both heavily infest with wax moths till the point of the wax moths eating the wood.....lost to hives that season. Now we have no hives until we can get our names on a list for some more nucleuses.

no I'm pretty sure he's a rooster now some of his feathers on his back are coming in now and i was rubbing my fingers along his back and I'm seeing some starts of a rooster feathers. Oh well that's what you get when you get a straight run i guess.
no we haven't named them yet, they still got a lot of fluff, My family is planning on naming them once we can identify one from the other a little bit better but, we already got a few names in mind though.
Thanks for the tips so far I'm am pretty certain 2 of the welsummers are roosters and one of the pullets is a rooster as well cause he's really mean and talkative.
