The last two nights a rat has gotten in the pen with the brand new chicks. Can't tell how they're getting in. But two days in a row when we opened the pen a dead baby was in there chewed up. What can I or should I do?
I just hatched my first quail in my incubator. But it's so tiny that its feet just falls through the holes of the Grate/screen. What do you do about that?
Our chicks are dying one by one. They have blood in their stools. I was told to get corid in their water ASAP. How much per gallon do I put in of Corrid powder 20%.?
I need to know what I'm doing wrong. In the last couple of hatches I've had this week I've had three wry neck chicks and 3 spray legs. My hens and roosters get the best food from the co-op. Lots of treats. Seeds, veggies, fruit grass and clover. What's going on??
I know how to treat both so...
I have about 25 Quail eggs that my husband didn't know I wanted to put in the incubator and he soaked them on night in egg wash. Are they not any good anymore?
I have four incubators set up a week apart next one due to hatch this weekend 42 eggs in each one. And now we are in the middle of a thunderstorm and the electricity went out and the temperature seems to be going down fairly quickly. It has gone down seven degrees so far. how low can the...
I have a chick that hatched just yesterday that is the only one out of 15 chicks that just kind of roams around the brooder aimlessly and bumps into the wall a lot. I have yet seen her eat food or drink water like the others. What would you do? What could you do?
Exactly! That's why I I need to know how long the babies that hatched just yesterday morning are safe cuz I know they must be getting thirsty or hungry but I don't want to shrink wrap or drown any babies in their shells.
Yes my temperature and my humidity has been staying the same throughout the hatch. About 65% humidity 9 + 9.8 temperature. The funny thing about this hatch is most of the time they're hatched out before I even see them pipping. All at once they are just hatched. I missed the part of watching...
Yesterday Tuesday at a 8 a.m. The first chick hatched out of 42 eggs. Now today Wednesday 7 a.m. there are 10 chicks hatched. One is right now. How long can the chicks stay in there because I don't want to open the incubator with them still hatching?
