Yes, I have two breeding pairs just started from chicks in March.attempting my first hatch of their eggs now. 3 days into it... I've got other birds but my focus on breeds is LOs, German new Hampshire's and I'm going to start a new group with barred rock hen and a rhode island red rooster
I've got 5 month old Lavenders, Two breeding pairs of the same age. Eggs are the same size as the silkies eggs. But they appear fertilized. Can I attempt a hatch or should I wait until they are normal sized?
After closer examination that rooster is an Americana.
Until I get my new Hampshire group going I'm going to put my rhode island red with my barred rock herns to raise some meat birds I think

By meat bird I mean healthy size by fall that's not tough. Hen or rooster doesn't really matter to me I just want a sustainable meat chicken along with a separate sustainable egg producer. My biggest concern in all this is that I now know where my eggs and chicken is coming from without...
