I guess it's their policy to provide an extra rooster in case there was an error while determining their breed. Also they are both Buff orpingtons, which are usually pretty nice in general.
Hello,
So just today we went to pick up baby chicks, and this is the first year we decided to get a rooster. But the chick provider gave us 2 males, and said that they always provide an extra rooster. So if they both grow up into roosters, will they cause problems and fight? Or will they get...
Thanks. We applied some hydrogen peroxide to the wound and It's looking like shes gonna be OK. We're mixing electrolytes in her water and keeping her in the horse trailer overnight so the other chickens cant pick on the wound.
Hello,
Just today, we noticed that one of our Red Stars had most of its wing ripped off. We're not sure when or how it happened, because we weren't home for the last few days. Its acting normal and doing its normal activities with the rest of the flock. What the best treatment for this?
Thanks

Don't worry, the same thing happened to one of my buff orpingtons. Its just because they've never layed an egg before and the shell-making thingy hasn't fully developed yet... tomorrow the bird will likely be laying normal eggs
Thanks for the feedback, we think its shock.
And to anyone who wanted me to mention other injuries: she doesn't have any injuries, she just cant walk or move very well.
Last night, we woke up to the sound of banging and chicken screams. My dad went outside and shot 2 racoons, and in the morning we looked for chickens. We lost a production red, Goldie, and we couldn't find Debbie and we thought she was dead. But later she woke up and couldn't walk, wasn't...
