    The are 3 membranes, the first one under the shell will turn white when dry, break that membrane and only that one.

    I would wrap it snug not tight with an iodine soaked ace bandage, I've seen this before but only in chicks. What breed is it? Rio grande?

    That is strange. I would try to drain it like you said. If you can post pics, that would be good. I've dealt with tons of chick related problems, but this is new to me. I'm really curious to see what comes out(color/thickness)
