I checked the legs they seem fine. Very thick but no swelling. The thickness has me worrying it may be a he though or is it just that Cochins are a larger breed?
She was also in a coop by herself at the previous owners so maybe she is anti sociL and very timid around other chickens? She loves to be held. She is also pretty big! Possibly older than the 3 mo we were told as she's the same size if not bigger than my 5 mo Australorp and Orpington. Is the...
Hi! I just got an approx 3 mo silver laced standard Cochin. I noticed she walks different than my other chickens, she's our only Cochin. Her walk is much more exaggerated she also sits a lot. Is this just part of her breed or should I be worried?
This is Lady GaGa my Polish Crested and coolest most friendly chicken. I think she is a he because of the way the head feathers are falling. What do you think? Oh she is about 8 weeks old.
Sugar is our biggest chick, bigger than our EE cockerel same age. The bottom of the feet are sort of a peach color. I also don't think the comb is red or very big compared to some of my other chicks but they're all different breeds so hard to compare.
These are my 7 chicks!
Opal the frizzle
Summer the Welsummer
Annie the buff orpington
Lady GaGa the Polish crested
Sugar unsure if Australorp or Jersey Giant
Goldie the GLW
Dotty the EE cockerel
Dotty started crowing this morning and has also gotten a lot more aggressive. He is about 9 weeks is that early for crowing? Are Easter Eggers generally more aggressive roosters?
Oh I hope so! She got her comb much sooner than all our other chicks which are different breeds. When it first came in it was slightly darker then got lighter and now is slightly pink.
Goldie is about 8 weeks. She was bought as a pullet so hoping that's correct, already have Easter Egger cockerel. I can get more pics if its hard to tell.
