Yes we do! Just dropped in to say a quick hello to everybody. Everything’s going great here. I have 16 chickens now. They’re all laying eggs like crazy. I’m ready for the weather to cool down. I love spring and fall. I am trying to decide whether to do supplemental light through the winter...
I give them some hay in the winter, just spread out the rest last week never had any crop issues. I toss food scraps and scratch on top once ib awhile. They also get out in the yard and est grass a few times a week.
So it must be the largest easter egger ss she lays a large blue/green egg. She is three years old. She has layed several eggs this year but this is the first ever of this color. Nothibg even close before.
The blrw’s are the two white and red ones in the back by the fence. They have both been laying for several months, light brown/pink eggs. I’m thinking the marans or older ee’s.
Today I got a beautiful olive colored egg. But I dont have any olive eggers. What happened? My two youngest are BLW and lay light brown/punk smaller eggs. All the others are at least two years old.
I do not have any straw, will hay or pine shavings work? The night temps will be in the 30’s. I can get straw if needed. I predict they will be in their outdoor brooder for about a month brfore I integrate them with the older chickens. I will be using a wire dog crate.
I have my MHP with 6 little chicks that I will move outside next weekend. They are 2 weeks old. It snowed today so I didnt put them out. I didnt want to get cold😜 i have used the MHP for 3 years now and I love it.
Hello! How is everybody? Just checking in. I have 6 baby chicks I plan to move outside next weekend with their mama heating pad set up. It snowed today😬
