I just watched a video of it, wicked. Apologies all.

Can different species of birds live in a coop without matting & reproducing?

Baffling, but I still don't see how a drake would beat a rooster especially being of game fowl.

Can chickens that were penned, free range?

Of course they'll figure it out, natural instincts! And since you've already tooken the steps necessary, you're doing it right. I normally wait till juveniles get home set before letting them run, at first they act scared but really want to be out, may be good to let them out and walk them back...

Interesting, how does a duck kill a chicken? Assuming by what you said, kill the hen? Because a rooster I doubt besides many domestic modern breeds, wouldn't just let a duck kill them.

And ducks and chickens can live together easily, I've seen and know too many people who cross their flocks together like that. And by cross I don't mean breed

Can different species of birds live in a coop without matting & reproducing?

I'm not very knowledgeable on this, but I know turkeys and chickens won't try, they know the difference it's obvious, but they are larger and if there was a fight to occur you'd have some injured turkeys or dead chickens.

Also what about the layers of poo and feathers in the dirt of the coop? I honestly don't feel like digging a foot deep in that coop as its big/tricky to maneuver through with the roosts.. Cant I just scraped top layer of dirt out disinfect, replace dirt and re disinfect?

New 14 week old Cream Crested Legbar Sneezing

Yes they were supposed to be used for breeding and made my mind up yesterday now they're all infected, I will cull sadly. However after culling and disinfecting the coop with DC, what else should I disinfect? When I scoop dirty dirt (choice of litter) and clean the coop, I dump the buckets of...

    Chickens gaining up....

Put a divider between the two groups, can't just throw new hens with old ones. That will always end up that way.. Especially if they're real much older. It takes a slow slow introduction to get them together, since you only have five no need to start two social groups unless you have upwards of 7+

    Texas

If I had enough land i would've tooken everyone and their birds in but sadly I live in city limits :( on a quarter acre. But I'm glad that everyone here are safe, I'm sorry I couldn't help none! And I created my profile in OK, too lazy to change it and not really far from OK anyhow.
