Well it is that time of year where I am wanting to add to my flock. I am looking for Buff Oringtons, Barred Rocks, Marans and Red Sexlinks. If you have any of these chicks or know someone who does I would be interested.
They only way I could teach my son was to take him outside and have him pee on the tree. After a while he then was able to get the jist of peeing in the potty. He peed sitting down for a couple years till he was tall enough to stand
My 3 Polish chickens are now 8 months olds there are the bottom of the pecking order and have never crowed.
I have recenlty discovered that all 3 are developing spurs!!!
I thought for sure they were hens up until now.
My thoughts it is ok to leave them in the car if it is only going to take a minute or two to run your errand, your car will be in sight and the child is old enough to know not to open the door for anyone.
I have a Broody Cochin sitting on 11 eggs. There hatch date was December 5th. Yesterday I found one egg kicked out of the nest that had not fully developed. Now I am worried that the rest of the eggs may have not fully developed. They last time I candled them was a week ago and they were doing...
I have 12 EE eggs under my Cochin Bantam she seems to be doing good with them. As for double yolkers chances of them hatching and staying alive are very slim. Good Luck and Happy Hatching.
