When To Give Up

I have a Broody Cochin sitting on 11 eggs. There hatch date was December 5th. Yesterday I found one egg kicked out of the nest that had not fully developed. Now I am worried that the rest of the eggs may have not fully developed. They last time I candled them was a week ago and they were doing good. How much longer should I let her sit?

I would give her at least a couple of more days. The fact that she kicked a dud egg out seems to indicate that she is paying attention.

When a broody hen kick an egg out, do not put it back under her or she will kick it out again. She knows best! It is a dud egg or a chick that will come out deformed or very weak.
