No leg band, he appears to be a wild pigeon. This morning the chickens were in the run and Walter was still comfy in the coop. I opened the door and called him and he came out. We'll see what happens tonight.
Thanks for the advice.
A week or so ago, a pigeon started hanging around the coop. At first I was shooing it away but it kept coming back, I thought just to steal some scratch but it looks like it's more for the company. She (I think) looks very young and healthy, bright eyes, clean feathers, no issues flying or...
I feed them green beans. This is the treat ball I just packed for them and will hang in the coop. Spinach, strawberries, and green beans. They love it and picking it all out of the ball, hung just over their heads, keeps them busy inside on a chilly and soon to be snowy day.
And it appears the answer is no, they don't appear to notice. They just settled in and all appear to be pretty much sound asleep on their roost. I took a screen shot, let's see if it will load on this reply. I'm using an Arlo web cam that isn't on all the time, not sure if that makes a difference.

I have 7 14 week old pulleys and since I moved them to their coop they are not roosting on the perch, they instead sleep all huddled up in the corner of the coop. They used the little low starter perches I had in their brooder, I even moved those into the coop for them but they don't sleep on...
Thanks for the answer. That's what I was starting to think. Not what I originally wanted but so far they have great dispositions and yes they should be good layers. I was reading last night though that the production reds can have some health issues. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed on that.
The girls are about 10 weeks old. I bought them at Big R which I think is a Big M(istake). They didn't have them by breed but here in Colorado Springs I didn't have a lot of choice so I rolled the dice and now I have no idea what these two are. I was hoping for Australorps and maybe...
