I've got the babies! Now I have got the eggs!! GREEN!

I am looking for bantam size blue/green egg layers. A local breeder is selling Araucana (female) X Pekin (bantam Cochin) chicks. Is there a chance that these EE's will lay coloured eggs? Does the colour egg gene need to come from the father? Thanks for your help.

    weevils in food

Is there any problem with continuing to feed food with weevils in it to my bantams? Just noticed that one lot of feed is crawling. The birds thought that I had served them the first course of a Christmas banquet! Just wondered if the weevils leave anything on the food which is bad for the chooks.

    New Bantam Coop....BANTY SHANTY

This is the new permanent house for my bantams. We do not have a large number of predators, or very cold weather in New Zealand so this will be fine for them. They free range in the garden when I am home.
