Free Jake. 3 month old black Spanish

Hi all. Unfortunately we have to get rid of our 3 month old Jake. He’s a Spanish Black. Friendly towards humans but not my cattle dog and that’s a problem for the wife. I’m in Concord, Ca. He’s very healthy. We are keeping the female.

    My Black Spanish Turkeys

Male and female. 3 months. Getting big. They are really fun. Friendly and follow you everywhere. I actually enjoy them a bit more then the hens. Only draw back is they don’t go into the run and roost at night like the hens. We gotta put them away every night.

    Letting chicks free roam

What age do you let the chicks free roam. Mine are about 9 weeks old and I let them out today in the backyard with the big hens. Neighborhood cats or hawks would be my main concern. I've never had a problem with the full grown hens with ant predators.

    Poopie butt

What are your best ways to deal with poopie butt. Got a few hens that look like they need cleaning. I sometimes cut out the clumps if it gets too big. Also are there any preventative measures. Thanks in advance

Hi all. I am new to the world of chickens. I spent about a year researching and making sure I knew what I was going to be getting into. I have two boys (10 & 12) who will be helping me, but as you know they have other things on their agendas during the weekend when it comes to chores...
