    I have a similar problem...got 16 muscovy ducklings...problem is the chickens are picking out the feathers of the ducklings off their back, wing, and tail areas....I've been kicking out the chickens during the day and this has help, but no chicken eggs this way...how or what can I do?     We had 8 baby chicks hatch...the rest i gave to my broody duck.... few days before hatch due date i cleaned out momma ducks nest because I realized other chickens and ducks had been laying in and around her nest.....she started with 13 I added 6 duck eggs and 1 chicken egg that should have given...

    This is part of my set up...been working in coop changing some things around...i noticed my ducks like hidey holes to lay in so im making some more,but at the time they have none...other than inside cage area where my broody buff is...so today when i went in search of eggs i found 3 duck eggs...

    If they are duds....won't she stay broody? My buff duck also went broody and started sitting the same day she has one chicken egg under her...when hers hatch should I share them with my hen?
