Exactly. I can't find any documentation where there is paint x cuckoo. So there is that.
Then it's further muddied by the fact that I'm not sure I should even let my paint procreate since he has all that leakage. Ugh
Yes that's the part I'm mostly concerned about. I know leakage is an issue in paint anyway. So I'm worried I should just let him out due to it. And then on top of it I have no idea what to expect from a paint x cuckoo breeding. Leave the sizzle/frizzle aspect out. The colors are my main worry.
I hope I don't get in trouble for double posting. I'm really not sure which thread to post this in?
I'm concerned about the leakage in my paint cockerel and whether or not I should allow him to breed.

Well. No responses so far. But I will keep at it. Please find attached pics of my sizzle paint cockerel, then my smooth paint pullet, and finally my frizzle cuckoo pullet. Just trying to decide if I should allow breeding between the colors. Especially considering the leakage on my cockerel...
That is Actually the old way of thinking. @Sonoran Silkies has since proven otherwise. You do need to be sure their diet contain healthy oils though. My biggest concern here is the leakage.
Me too! I have three from you @country! A sizzle paint cockerel, a smooth paint pullet and a frizzle cuckoo pullet : )
Here are some group pics (they are only 2 months old) and I will try and post close ups tonight. They still come inside at night. LoL
Hi. My two month old Paint Roo has some Greyish leakage. Should I allow him to breed? I read somewhere the leakage could possibly go away after first molt. Any truth to this? I don't want to produce a bunch of smutty looking paints so I need advice about how concerned I should be : )
I looked for a paint silkie thread to post my question on but seems they are all mostly dead. So I will try here. Can anyone tell me what to expect from breeding between the following? I can't find any other posts with these combos and am wondering if I should let them breed?
1. Sizzle paint...
Yeah. I'm thinking I have some temp issues. I need to read up on how to calibrate. I have no clue. Another one died today. Only one more peeping in the inky. The rest are still and silent.
Four hatched but one died like 5 minutes later. No idea why. One second he was chirping and fine next dead. No assist in hatching. No blood. No extra yolk. Clean shell. So weird. Poor sweetie.
Ikr!? Always changing and new colors. Think of paints like Dalmatian chickens. Very clean color break between white feathers and the black spots to the skin
