Advice please
I have 9 Toulouse geese-8 girls and 1 gander. I know the ratio of geese to gander is way off. Should I rehome some of the girls or just leave the family as is? Everyone is happy right now but breeding season is right around the corner. Also-the gander is 6 years old, five of the girls are 4... -

So adorable! I'm sure you know that geese love to chew and gnaw on everything-my first two geese (both ganders) chewed all the brake light wires under our pick up truck and my husband had to fix everything-he wasn't happy with that! I'm very careful to keep all types of indigestible things... -

I didn't let any of my girls hatch this year, so I really enjoyed reading about your goslings and the pictures! I have Toulouse geese too so it was great to read about your goslings. Keep us posted as they get bigger :) -

Sick gander with bubbles in corner of eye
Does your gander have any exposure to sources of lead? My gander got into some old paint scrapings off our house and it made him very sick-he would just hide in the garage-not eating. He also had the bubbles/foam in his eyes due to not washing his eyes out often enough-he wasn't feeling good... -
Looking for Advice on chickens water
Any ideas for goslings? I have week old goslings and the water (deep enough for them to get their bills all the way in) is constantly dirty and soaking one half of the enclosure!- gooselove

Is there a cure for a nasty gander?
My geese free-range and are pretty decent with me. Unfortunately, they attack my husband-biting his boots, nipping at his legs and even have been known to use their wings on him. He carries a bamboo pole with him and they don't bother him as long as he has it. I just recently read another... -

Welcome to the forum Tiffjo! If you don't find what you are looking for through this forum, try your local feed stores or check online at hatcheries. Most hatcheries will sex a gosling for an additional fee and if there is a minimum number of goslings to order, you can always find homes... -

Update on Gary: An x-ray shows some sort of obstruction/narrowing of his esophagus. The vet I'm using isn't an avian vet, so isn't sure what is going on inside him. I've asked her to consult with an avian vet-but not sure if she will. I will follow up with the vet on Monday to see what she... -
