Hello community
My 2 year old gander has not been feeling good at all. 2 days ago I noticed Gwen was not feeling well. My only Bird vet out of the area and will not be returning for a few more days. Cast even contact by phone. The other vet that helps Bird is also gone for 2 more days. I noticed him being sleepy with his neck crocked back like he about to sleep and he was not behaving normal at all. No interest in any of his routines playing in the pool taking a bast h and ofcourse eating grass. The next day paying closer attention I noticed him poop whitish bubbles and egg white colored poo. I knew that definitely didn't look normal. He wasn't eating at all, all day long. I offered him his favorite water melon he stood in front of it and just looked at it. I got a hold of the dog cat horse vet thinking at that point perhaps he had an issue with his crop as it looked fuller above then below which usually is full but looked empty. I finally talked the vet into seeing him which was not easy at all. He stuck a small hose down his throat a gave him some water and said it went down and sent me out the door as it was already past closing. He had finally had a poop which looked more like egg white and a white color. I have seen him drink water and that is it. I thought maybe a compacted crop so I massaged and gave him water then tried to put him upside down see if something would come up but nothing. So I then came across the flushes so last night I offered him Epsom salt flush with pedilight and he finally had a little color of green in his poop which made me hopeful. This morning I seen he had pooped more green color in his few poops through the night. This am I went to see How he is which seemed a little better but he has bubbles in the corner of one eye socket. This is my first time as a goose owner and I love him as much as I love to breath and feel so helpless for him right and in desperate need of people who may be able to help me so I don't lose him. I want to help but so hard to find anything on geese. Thank you much in advance for any help no matter how small.
