    Canadians check in here....

I don't ask. I just go out and start building it myself and when he comes out and sees how pathetic and poorly built it is he takes over, lol. It works out well, he feels like a hero and I get him to do it without nagging him :)

All my chicks died ***Graphic Images***

I don't really have anything to compare to so I can't really say if there was a lot. There was definitely liquid there

All my chicks died ***Graphic Images***

No it wasn't green at all, it looked like normal egg whites. Just a bad picture. They were shipped.

All my chicks died ***Graphic Images***

I had my humidity at 30% until lockdown, 70% during. Temp fluctuated between 99.89 - 100.4. That being said I was only using the incubator gauges which I will never do again. It is a forced air. None of them even had their heads up in the position to internally pip.

Hi all you highly skilled hatchers! I would love it if any of you would be willing to check out my eggtopsy pictures on my "all my chicks died" thread. I have looked over the eggtopsy thread and still can not figure out what happened, I would love some help.

All my chicks died ***Graphic Images***

I had 5 eggs that I assumed made it to lockdown. By day 23,no internal pips and no movement seen while candling, so I did eggtopsy and they were all dead. This was my first atempt at hatching, I'm asumming that it was an issue with temp or humidity but I'm wondering if they even all made it to...

I'm into hibernating! Got another couple inches last night but by Thursday the temps are supposed to go up to 7C, so fingers crossed it will all melt then. It's going to be a long winter if it says :(

    Will this work?

Thanks for your responses! That is kind of what I was thinking. She is a BO x EE and it is her first hatch.

    Will this work?

I have eggs in an incubator and eggs under a broody, the eggs in the incubator are set to hatch a week before the broody. Can I raise them in a brooder for a week until the ones under the broody start to hatch then sneak them into her? Or will they not accept her as their mother because they...

    Another chick

Does it have a straight comb? It's hard to tell in the picture. It doesn't look like an EE at all to me, and with reddish colour already showing in the comb and wattles at 4 weeks I would be sceptical that it is a pullet also.

The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

Thank you for your feed back, they were purchased through the university not a hatchery by myself personally. https://www.heritagechickens.ca/ Even with my untrained eye I can tell that they are nowhere near the chickens on here. I would love any breeder contacts that you have to offer.

The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

I started with 20 chicks, dog attack left me with 3 pullets and 12 cockerels. This is the best cockerel that I have, other carry tail high and have terrible combs. One pullet has a very light chest, can't tell the other two apart. Thanks for taking the time to have a look.

    Canadians check in here....

Well it will be exciting to find out what they are! This summer I went down to the okanagan to purchase a registered Nubian doeling and the breeder had all sorts of breeds and other fowl. I couldn't resist getting some AM and BCM while I was there. All my EEs were sold to me as Ameraucanas. Hard...
