Thank you. I just wanted to do all I could for her.
I felt a little silly to be honest but my ladies are pets. And they are treated as so.
We're going to miss our little Peace. We loved her.
Final update.
The vet said she was either egg bound or had the yolk issue discussed prior. The only way to figure it out was to do an xray and surgery that would have made her unable to lay eggs any longer.
She was in such bad shape by the time we got there, and was so miserable we just chose to...
Not much change as of this morning. She won't stand long. Her crop still has the fluids I tube fed her.. Her comb does have more color but aside from that she is still in bad shape.
I'm going to just take her into the vet
I have no way to check her temp and it's stressing me. All I have is an children's ear thermometer. I'm going to buy a mercury thermometer first thing in the morning.
Her droppings don't at all seem yolk colored. She has had 2 movements since we've tube fed her. I took pictures
What do you think?
It is purple but only along the top and edges about half way in. I added some ointment incase it was weather related.
It does seem since treating her this evening her comb is more red than purple however is still purple along the edges.
Beforw it was more purple then red.. now more red then...
So I have a hen I thought was egg bound.. but am now seond guessing my diagnosis..

Thank you all so much for all the information.
I will video her tonight if she acts this way again. I didn't see anything abnormal in her morning movement. I examined her feet and they seem in good condition.
She ate and drank well this morning. Had some scrambled eggs and a little cat food...
I have her in the isolation cage with scrambled eggs and regular water.
I'll cut the electrolytes from the waterer thank you for that!
I need to check for laying issues but I'm fairly certain all my reds laid an egg yesterday.. which is strange being she's in a heavy molt.
She is about 1.5...
I did worm them all as fall came but I'll try something more. See if I can find Safeguard horse wormer I've added vitamins, electrolytes also oregano, pumpkin seed oil to their water.
I'll try what you've recomended..i do have her isolated so I can observe her over night with scrambled eggs and...
One of my reds is in a heavy molt.
I noticed while cleaning the nests today that one had deficated in the nest.
Tonight when I went to lock them in for the night i found that red in a nesting box.
Moved her to the perch to roost and she took a step forward and fell. Moved her up again, she...
