What Ho Chums,
I have been reading this thread with great interest as it is quite close to a potential problem I have at the moment. (I hope you don't mind me asking another question using this thread)
I have three eggs on the go at the moment, but I have committed the foulest of foul...
Yes, the chicken chicks and ducks have been roaming on terra firma before we were given them......
Thanks for all the good wishes
Does this mean I have to rethink my situation?
PS I will have a look at the stickies, but as I am a man, I can only do one thing at a time and that not very...
Many thanks for that. I was planning on putting them in a stable with rubber stable matting and wood shavings/straw etc over. Is this considered 'ground'? Would the presence of the chicken chicks be considered detrimental to the health of the pea chicks?
Ta! :)
Hullo there, I'm new to both the Backyard Chickens forum and to this the Peafowl forum, so please dont shout at me if this question has been asked before....
I have two unexpected arrivals (pea chicks obv) who are now 23 days old and great little darlings. I have had them in my home made...
Thank you v much :) The hens, on and off about 5-6 years, clear out of stock curtesy of the foxes....grrr. The peafowl, well, they were an indulgence, or mid life crisis, I'm not sure which, last summer and the mallards, a roadside rescue this spring. I think I'm just glutton for punishment...
Many thanks!! Some, yes....others, well, let's just say they were thrust on me :) About to hatch (I hope) some peafowl - an egg cheeped at me this afternoon so I'm really hopeful (first timer on this one) Fingers crossed :)
Just a brief introduction....I have five hens, three geese, two peafowl....no partridge or pear trees, but three yellow golden pheasants :) I have delved into this most excellent forum and resource on many occasions and have decided I should take the plunge and join in. So here I am. Oops...
