We were searching last night and read that you mix iodine with sugar to a peanut butter consistency. Slap it on and wrap it up. We were also thinking Manuka honey.
We're just not sure if this is her regular footing, because she's not limping and we don't feel any type of "scab".
Thinking this is bumble foot, but she's acting fine & not limping. 1st time dealing with this as this is our 1st backyard flock. This is my son's baby!
Is this contagious to our other 3 hens or to humans?
We just ordered some iodine to do a iodine and sugar wrap. If the scab has no crusty...
Is there a difference between blue laced red & red laced blue Wyandottes?
We got three chicks yesterday to love up under our broody hen. It went perfectly!
Here is one of the "Blue Laced Red Wyandotte's" up close and then 2 of them from above.

They all three will take a dust bath on top of the grave of Penelope who passed a week or so ago. :/
Is this a decent food & price?
We are still fairly new and the feed store we used to go to is closing it's doors.

Thanks everyone! Such a great advice. Sorry for the late reply.
I honestly am not sure what helped, but off the cuff, I also slapped a tad bit of coconut oil on her vent and 5 minutes later her egg popped out and she was off and running with our other two.
Sigh of relief since she is my...
