I had bought some jersey giants and sex links. After getting them all home I had a few die. Now I'm not sure if I have any giants left. Can't really tell them apart. What do you think?
With free ranging, how do you get them to go back to the coop at night. There are a lot of coyotes where I live so I would really worry about them at night
I went to a local farm yesterday and bought a chicken that he called a rainbow chicken. Anyone know what breed he is talking about. I have never heard of it. Kind of looks like a Rhode Island Red

So one of my hens has laid two of these gigantic eggs the last two days. It's either from my jersey giant or black sex link. Any idea what may cause this. They are literally 3x the size of all the other decent sized eggs
I don't feed it everyday. It's an every other day thing for the goat and just a little bit at that. She's already looking 100 times better. She showed up her about a week ago with her baby that is about 3 months. They saw our Pygmy goats and decided to stay so we dewormed and are trying to get...
I don't feed that as a main diet for the goats. I have some very skinny goats that showed up on my property so I was feeding that along with their feed to put some weight on them.
They are all still very young. I started supplementing the oyster shell as well. Have checked everywhere. Their coop is definitely large enough with a huge run attached. The temperatures have been a bit steep though. They are in the shade and have been adding ice cubes to their water to keep...
So I bought 10 black sex links about a week ago. When I got them the owner told me they were molting. Is it the time of the year that they might be? It kind of looks like they have been plucking feathers. I will go and take some pics tomorrow as it is 2am right now lol
