    Injury or something more serious?

Thanks for the info! Here's to hoping it is just an injury and will heal instead of a tumor. The girls are getting a much needed break from mr. bully. Never seen the girls picking on each other but now I can find out for sure!

    Injury or something more serious?

I guess everyone is as stumped as I am. Since there is no wounds of any kind I am not even sure how to treat it. Can ice packs be used on chickens?

    Injury or something more serious?

Hi, I have a Brahma hen that's rough 1 yr old. Today I noticed the back of her head is swollen. She has no feather around that area either but I know that is caused by the roo. There is no open wounds or puncture marks that I can find and the swollen area is hard. Other than hiding from the...

Has anyone had a duck survive an attack like this?

I assume our duck was attacked by a hawk or eagle this morning and is in really bad shape. If there is a chance he/she can recover I am willing to do whatever I can but if not I would rather know now. So far I have treated with Vetericyn and Farnam TRI+Care as well as wrapped what I...

If it is respiratory does this mean all my chicks are infected and if any live they will always be...

    Coccidiosis, Respiratory or ?

Hi all I hope you can help me with this. I have a baby Maran that is not doing well. After a lot of research on BYC I was afraid it was Coccidiosis. Started him/her on Corid last night and the Maran perked up, started standing/walking, eating and drinking on it's own ect. I really thought it was...

    Hello from Okla

I am still somewhat new to chickens tho I started my flock about a year ago. Still so much to learn as we have added ducks and guineas this year as well. Love this site and have been using it often to get answers to questions as well as ideas. I look forward to learning a lot more here.
