    Bumble foot

I haven't had a chance to catch her and check, but I will do that today. If it has a scab, should I do anything about it, peel it off & clean it out or anything??

Using Wazine to deworm for round worms

I have used Wazine for the past couple of summers, but when I went to buy more a week ago at Tractor Supply, they told me that it is now illegal to sell it in the state of Michigan. I'm curious where you are from, that you can still buy it?

    "Spots on our chicken's combs"1

Thank you all for your responses. I'm sorry I wasn't able to provide pictures, I'm still learning how to do all this kind of thing. We're sure it is fowl pox, and are glad we don't have to worry about it. We love our goofy birds.

    "Spots on our chicken's combs"1

Thank you for your answer, my husband looked it up, and it looks you are right. I think the Orpington's were probably vaccinated, but maybe not the Leghorn's. Looking at them again, the buff's don't seem to have it, and the leghorn rooster doesn't, mainly the 2 Leghorn hens. I plan to ask...

We have 3 Buff Orpington's we got last summer, & got 3 White Leghorn week old chicks in April. One of them is a roo, we think the other 2 are hens, don't know for sure yet. We kept the chicks in the house, in a cage, till it was warm enough to put them out with the older ones. I hand fed the...

    Our Girls plus Roosty

My husband, who had always refused to have any "farm animals", brought home 3 Buff Orpington's, hens to have eggs from. The next April, when our local convenience store was sold, & the new owners was selling week old chicks, he decided to get me some for "my birthday". Now that they are...

I started spoiling them right away, cutting up tomatoes, bread, sharing watermelon with them, cottage cheese & yogurt, etc. Then we got 3 week old white leghorns in April. We...
