    My flock was attacked by a hawk two days ago. This poor girl ended up injured. I cleaned out the wound with a 50/50 of hydrogen peroxide and water and then I put antibiotic ointment on it.     So I went out and bought 300 ft of deer fence netting and spent the day building a nice big inclosure around their coop. They won't exactly be free range anymore but it's a nice big area at least so I think they will be happy.

    Thanks for all the input so far. We have 8 chickens. I'm looking online at poultry netting and thinking that might be our best bet. Not sure what to do in the meantime though. I keep looking out to make sure they're staying away from her yard.

    Hello. My husband and I are fist time chicken owners. We have 5 pullets we bought and 2 hens about a year old somebody just gave us. I find myself going online to look up questions a lot so was excited to find this group.
