Well this is rather unfortunate. He's quite literally the sweetest thing, but Nashville doesn't allow roosters, and we really can't have chicks. It seems like my favorite little one's gotta go :(

I'm thinking more Buff Orps, as they seem to be pretty social from what I've read. I'd like to change it up so I'd be able to tell her apart from the newbies (She'll always be my favorite). Any other lap chicken breeds you can recommend?

Oh I know and I can't wait! This weekend I'm going to make a big run for her and get a couple more gals to keep her company. I kind of ended up with her by happenstance, but now that she's family, she's all I can think about. Haha
This is my little pullet. She's my first and I'm definitely on the fast track to becoming a veritable crazy chicken lady. I love her so much! This was her in the garden this afternoon.
