I think they are allowing for the temp. to be higher because the eggs are higher sitting in an egg turner(heat rises).If they are on the floor(no turner) the egg temp will be the same as the thermometer on the floor.
I have a lot of gamefowl and I keep them on tie cords next to a hutch.One of their favorite snacks is when I tip their hutch and they find a mouse nest under there,they go crazy.
I bought 200 egg cartons sat. at Beebe flea market for $28 thought that was a heck of a deal . Actually they pulled some of them out so there was really about 195 , still a good buy. Ihope they have more next week I am going to stockpile them.Gina sounds like those little hens are laying like...
