temp question

Is there a difference in the temps when using a turner vs not using one. The directions online say the turner temps should be 97° and non turner temps should be 100°. Most on here use the 100° temp for hatching. I am using the egg turner.
 
Thats odd I wonder why it says that. Thats the first time I've ever read that one.

I have 14 out back hatching in my homemade unit that got down to 86 a few times and up to 103 a few times , there are 4 already out and 5 more peeping right now , my belief is that if the change is not sudden it is not all that bad .
 
I think they are allowing for the temp. to be higher because the eggs are higher sitting in an egg turner(heat rises).If they are on the floor(no turner) the egg temp will be the same as the thermometer on the floor.
