    "stray" peacock

Thanks for the advice I just called the feed store owner to see if anyone reported one missing and he told me this peacock was hanging out at the horse stables all last year(about five miles away) and must have heard mine and come over I don't have a separate pen, so he'll just have to stay...

    "stray" peacock

I have 3 peacocks and one peahen. 3 days ago I had a "stray" peacock wandering by the pen. Hes been displaying and walking along the fence all day. Am I asking for trouble if I let him into the pen with the others? They don't seem to pay much attention to him outside the pen.

Should I take chicks out of nest box?

This is the first time I let my bantam cochins hatch their own eggs. They hatched this morning. Nest boxes are about 3 feet above the floor. Should I take them out and put them on the floor?

I've ordered 4 silver pied peachicks from a breeder in Wisconsin. I asked her to send some darker pied and some lighter ones. We'll see what happens.

Wanting some peacocks - What are the negatives

Thanks for your input. I'm going to give them a try. I'm on 2 1/2 acres, woods on 2 sides and farm field behind. Just hope they won't go across the street to the neighbors. I would hate to have to keep them penned.
