I'll keep an eye out for anything but i don't have any spare space to. I've just built them some roosting boxes. And was going to treat the coop for mites. (Preventive obviously haven't got a problem just like to do it regularly ) but other than that I think I'll be fine. Just hope the new hens...
Phew!! All sorted 10 mins away from collecting 2 new brown hens and parting ways with our cockerls. I'll get some pics up when I get them home. May be in the morning. panic over lol.
I know I'm lucky. I have a sneaky feeling they may be heading to someones dinner table... but I'm staying positive for the kids lol. But it's probably more likely than some one needing 2 boys lol.
I've noticed as was looking for chicks and they seemed a few for sale.
Thanks
Thanks Eggsighted4life
Really appreciate your advice.
I've managed to pass them on. The man I bought them off has a friend who wants roosters for his hens (think he's after chicks)
I don't have a friend for Muriel but I can get some similar aged hens next week so fingers crossed she's gets...
Thanks donrae.
Bit of a sickner as we've grown quite attached.
But they scrap every morning. And even attack the dog when I let them out. They're funny little things like but can't have cockerls where I live it's built up so no one wants a early morning, cock-doodle-doo..
So I've been watching my "ladies" closely. And I'm thinking 2 are boys. As they don't look anything like thier sister who's a lot smaller.
All came from the same mam and all same age. We've been told they are white suffix
And thier sis.
Thanks Scifisam! What's the issue your having with the gate? I'm actually a joiner so may be able to offer some advice?
I had a similar issue with my coop as the side is hinged but i wanted to put in raised beds. What I did without making my coop smaller I put a bi-fold on my opening side. It...

Hey! Hope you're all Well!? New member here just to say Hi.
We've had our 3 chickens since August as pullets so won't be laying till February. (If we get through the winter fine. )
Our ladies, Muriel, peggy-Sue and Hedwig are all doing well. I've just had a few days of worry with Hedwig as she...
HEDWIGS back to her old self. She's improved 10 fold since my OP so nothing to worry about but I'm keeping an eye on her.
Thanks Yorkshire Coop. I have done that now (after cleaning off the mud) no spelk or forigen objects and she's jumping up & down the steps in our garden with no stumble so...
Thanks everyone. They are both the best pets I've ever had and the most interesting. They just get on with things and since weve had them we've handled them daily. Let them walk the garden etc so checking on them is easy I just have to appear and they come running over. I'm UK resident btw lol
Hi everyone,
