Hi Laura, I admit I had to look up Hedgesville on the map :) Eastern Panhandle. I grew up in the Northern Panhandle but have lived in Greenbrier Co. since 1988 so call this home now. I have a mixed flock of chickens at this time. Welcome :)

I believe you are doing the right thing, its stressful for the other hens with her attacking all the time. Cull her out for the good of the flock.

Thanks for the tip :) I will enjoy them I am sure. I keep reading that the Buckeyes have different sounds. I thought it was funny some of the sounds my Silkies make. I will have a Chicken Symphony in my back yard LOL
