    Duck Vent Prolapse

Thank you for posting all the advice and progress! I’m having the same with my duck except I don’t have the space to bring her in the house. I’m going to try and move things around in the dining room and give it a try. I’m sure the cats will be interested but I do have cages. I bought her...

    Lame leg

Ok thank you. We usually have them separated but somehow he got her. We don’t have a local vet that sees chickens so I’m trying what I’ve learned along the way. Not sure she likes the sling or thinks I’ve lost my mind. Lol

    Lame leg

One of my lavender hens was jumped by a duck and her hip is possibly out of socket .. she has no swelling and doesn’t seem in pain but can’t walk. She’s separated from everyone else and is eating and drinking. Her leg is just straight out. I’ve rigged up a sling for her so she can get up. It’s...

    Duck with a broken leg

I'm putting two drops (1=500mg/full spectrum) in a dish of water; one of the 8" rubber ones. Not really sure if its enough but I don't want to do too much either. He's not eating or not enough for me to tell either so not sure how I would give him aspirin unless I can put it in the water.

    Duck with a broken leg

That's what I'm thinking too. I've started him on CBD oil to see if that will help the pain. He's not keen on being held so its usually a fight to get ahold of him even in the cage. He does let me touch his leg though so I can be sure its not cold and is keeping its color. Not sure if he...

    Duck with a broken leg

Hi, We have a duck with a broken leg. I know he’s in pain but our local Bird docs are on vacation. He’s all splinted and caged so he won’t get more injuries but he’s also not use to being handled. He’s drinking and pooping but not eating even with adding peas and green beans to his water. Is...

    Injured Duck

Daisy is doing much better! She's standing up straight and walking normal. Most of the scabs have washed off her back with the warm soaks and there are no signs of injury to her hip or leg. This is what she looks like under her wing...she was swimming around so I could not get the full extent...

    Injured Duck

Update: Daisy is up and walking but not walking upright because her back is sore where the feathers were pulled out. Her back is all bruised so warm baths is what she will have for her therapy. There are no open wounds so I don't know what will help her back feel better once she's back in her...

    Injured Duck

My duck is almost 2 months old and our rooster got into the baby section of the coop and beat up the duck. Some of her feathers are off her back and she's bruised, she also looks like she has a shiner but can see okay. However, she can't put weight on one leg. She pulls herself up with her...

Doesn't feeding them pumpkin help with worms? I remember reading that somewhere and always put out a few twice a year for them to eat.
