    Don't use heat bulbs

    I am so sorry for your loss. I too had a fire from a heat lamp to burn down my coop this week. I lost my 7 hens that were less than a year old :( We found it early Monday morning after all was lost. Maybe we can heal together.

    I lost all of my hens in a fire Monday. Does anyone near Gastonia raise Barr Rock or Buff Orpingtons? I want to get more chicks in the Spring.

    The sad part is that I can't see my coop from my house but you can see it from the road and I can't believe no one called the fire department or even came to the door when someone saw the burning coop :( - someone was bond to see it

    I have been reading this site for over a year and got my 7 ladies last Feb. I used a heat lamp for a week and then monday morning found my coop burnt to the ground over night. I so sad
