    Runaway Chicken

I need some advice about a chicken we thought had either run away or been killed by a predator. We live on a couple of acres and had searched the place a few times. Then yesterday my husband found her living under an old car trailer, sitting on a LOT of eggs! We tried to move her but she got...

    Bullying

I have a chicken that I've just nursed back to health after being badly bullied. I'd like to get her accepted back into the flock, so she can free range with the rest of them. I've tried releasing her in the pen, but at least 2 other chickens were 'having a go' at her. I'm wondering what the...

Is this chicken sick or just frightened?

Thank you! Yes I was thinking of fencing off part of their big yard (which they go outside of to free range every day). She has a buddy who sleeps with her each night so I thinking I might just put the 2 of them together in a separate pen. I like the quarantine for attitude approach 😂

Is this chicken sick or just frightened?

So happy - My chicken is practically back to normal. This video I took today after treating her as per previous post. I have now cut back to Colloidal silver to one dose a day for a few more days, then I’ll have to decide whether to let her mingle with the rest. But I’m afraid they’ll pick on...

Is this chicken sick or just frightened?

Positive news 🙂. After 2 days of 1mm colloidal silver twice a day plus rubbing her comb and back of her head with Neocort, this morning she was walking properly (wouldn’t win any races yet tho!!) and generally looked much happier. I was going to put her in a sling, but decided not to aT the...

Is this chicken sick or just frightened?

This is the link to a short video of how she moves around.. In answer to your questions, I don’t know if she was vaccinated but I got her and the 3 others from an established breeder; not sure exactly how old she is but is point of lay; I feed them a mixture of crumble/corn/grain and...

Is this chicken sick or just frightened?

3 weeks ago I got 4 new hens. 3 have now integrated with my existing hens but one was being picked on really badly, so I’ve been keeping her separate. The problem is that although she’s eating and drinking ok, she won’t walk, but sort of lays on her side and scrabbles around her pen. I’ve had a...
