    Thanks. The nest boxes are separate and external and yes three solid sides and the opening faces into a shaded bush. The nest box roof has quite an overhang over the front too.

    Superworms can't be bred, just feed them to the chickens. Yes the mealworms will breed, although technically speaking they go thru a pupae stage before turning into beetles which then breed and lay eggs that turn into mealworms.
