Pip, Patsy, and Annie!
The largest egg, Hazel, didn't make it. She internally pipped at the same time as Annie. They were both rocking and peeping, then Pip, who was my first hatched, ran over both eggs and rolled Hazel around like she was playing soccer. I don't know if it confused the one...
My first chick is out and looking good!
Another pipped in the wee hours and looks like it's about to zip, rocking, cheeping, and pecking! The other 2 are wiggling pretty steady!
At day 19. Yesterday, before lockdown, I pulled the 3 questionable eggs out (first ever hatch, and blue eggs, so I wasn't sure...and truthfully, just didn't want to give them up. Lol)
Today, we have eggs rocking a bit, so I'm very excited.
So far, out of 8 shipped, 4 are still viable. Temp is...
I'm a first-time hatcher, getting 8 eggs on my birthday. After letting them rest, I set them in the incubator in the livingroom.
My daughter and her 3 daughters are staying with us for a while. They are 9, 5, and 3.

That would be great. Right now I have them on a shelf settling after their trip. I'll put them in the incubator in the morning.
I can't get enough of the articles and forum...my Facebook friends are going to think I'm MIA. LOL

It's ended, of course, but I think you can still read the details. She's calling them Chiquita chickens.

Hi, I'm Mik, expectant chicken mom, and new to the forum. I've been gorging on the articles and threads here at BYC.
My daughter ordered eggs from a hatchery because I liked the pictures and yesterday was my birthday. Lol My soon-to-be husband got me an incubator.
The eggs are silkie/americauna...
