Rest are on grower and will be switched to layer as soon as start laying. My concern is her diet considering she wont go forage with the others.... She will eat her feed thats it. And being she is stunted and leg issues my concern is she isnt getting the grit she needs let alone nutrition
First ....they are NOT. Small cute things.... They are huge cute things.....my khakis are less than half the size of my beast pekins.... When i got them as ducklings.... I didnt know they would get so big.... And they aint done growing yet..... They are very well mannered....they arent mean to...
Shes about 12 weeks.... A third the size of all the others.... My question.... As she wont free range because of her leg issues (splinting to hopefully fix) should i just keep her on chick starter until she hopefully goes out with the others and learns to forage???
All 15 of mine are doing well. 1 of the stunted is in popsicle stick splints because she wont walk normal. And shes about a 1/4 size of other chicks. Other stunted is about 1/2 size of other chicks and walks fine. Hoovers did refund me for my stunted ones no questions asked....and said both...

My kids are 9 and couple weeks shy of 7. So yea used this as example why we need to be more watchful of trash on the ground....even the tinist of trash. So far the duckling has been acting well. They were outside in pool for a bit and played in yard. Very active. Keeping close eye.
Diatamacious earth i use for my dog and have for yrs....and just found out can use on chicks and ducklings.... So yea... Love how well it worked for dog ...doubt will be disappointed with birds

i had a couple sitting in my outside chair.... Kids spilled them putting chairs away and i couldnt get to them fast enough.... One of my two week old pekins ran over snatched it up and swallowed it before i could grab it... Like wth... Boogers move way faster outside than i thought could lol
my 15 survived teens and single digit temps so im sure ur fluff butts will be ok ... Been really nice out.... Call the main city near u that they will come thru speak to a manager. Lots of times i found it helps even if not livestock
