No, they did not lay at all this year. They did last year. They would have turned 3 this year. They eat chicken layer pellets will treats such as grass clipping, bread etc.... My Narragansetts that are on the same diet did great. No they are in by themselves so the White Palm male is the...
Any one have any ideas? I really like them and do not want to have to cull them but I don't want to feed them forever with nothing coming back. What I don't understand is that last year they did lay. Just this year they are not.
I have a trio of White Palms. Last year they were laying eggs but they have not layed one single egg this year. Does anyone have any ideas on why? They are fed chicken layer pellets with bread, veggies, grass clippings on a regular basis as treats. My Narraganset Turkey are laying fine. Any...
Yes, that is what I do too. I use the blender and first add the egg, then very, very slowly drizzle the oil in. After it thickens is when I add the vinegar, garlic, tumeric, paprika and salt. Sometimes I have to blend it by hand than start the blender again. The mixtures gets so thick .
First I want to thank everyone that told me not to throw out my eggs when my incubator hit 104 degree!
We had 6 baby turkeys hatch out Monday, on Wednesday 1 lonely goose egg hatched!
My question is: Can I put the goose in with the turkeys? Goosey looks so lonely all by himself. I am...
I have 2 or 3 crock pots. Never bought one new. My question is on the temp settings there is lo, hi (I understand these) but there is also something called autoshift. What is that for?
I caught my hen in the act of eating an egg! I have 10 hens in my chicken trailer, some days I get 8 eggs, the next 1 if I'm lucky. Well, I caught my delaware hen in the nest box pecking away at an egg. I caught her, dragged her out my the tail feathers and put her in a cage. Is there any hope...
Thanks for answering! Hubby said that he went to bed at 2 and the temp was at 99, I was up at 5 and the temp was 103, so the most it could have stayed high would be 3 hours or less. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! My goose lays only every other day, so I would hate to think in one moment ...
We just set up our incubator last night to hatch some goose eggs. Hubby was taking care of it. When I got up this morning the temp was 103. It is a still air incubator. I'm not sure how long the temp was that high. Do you think the eggs might have lived thru temps that high. Thanks in advance.
Enjoy your new chicks! Welcome to the world of chickens, they grow on you, and grow untill you have over 100 of those fine feathery friends. Enjoy them.
Darn if I know! I have ten guineas and don't have a clue who is who. I have been getting about 4 or 5 eggs a day from them, so I know some are girls! Hubby wanted to try one as he has never had guinea before but I'm scared he'll take one of the hens. To me they all look almost the same.
I used to show Great Danes, but don't anymore. One of my pups is out there in the show ring now though! He only needs one more major win for his championship! She also has another one of my pups that has her obedinance title, plus she is a registered therapy dog! I have been raising Danes...
I think I will try some then this fall! I was under the impression ( read on other boards) that they were genticly modified. Why is it we can not create our own cross? What do they do that we can't do at home? Thanks for replying.
