    Are they doomed?

This little girl (hopefully) came from a "Cream Brabanter" egg... is it me or does she look an awful lot like a brielefelder? Not so sure there wasn't a baby swap in the collection... which I'm not at all upset about, she's beautiful!

HELP, humidity keeps rising in incubator...

Take the eggs out and dry the bator out with papertowels... You won't hurt anything as long as you are easy with them and move quickly... humidity is acquired by water surface area... depth makes no difference. Let it go dry for a few hours and watch it. If it drops below 40% fill one small cell...

    Are they doomed?

Thank you all... the clock will click to day 19 about mid day today so I'm pushing backlockdown to tonight (as advised due to high humidity) and a little prayer to boot... we'll see... I'm running dry and I still have 45% so if it goes up at all today I think I'm going to go into lockdown dry...

I think my chick may not make it through the night... help?

I have about 30 chicks in the brooder right now but one is not looking too good. It's about two weeks old, bantam, I think Cochin (maybe) and it's by far the runt in the brooder... it was a little pasty so we took it out to clean it up when we noticed it's very lethargic and wobbly. We put it's...

    Funny/Sad/Happy stories of your chickens

This is Hobbles... during incubation I had a humidity drop and she became shell bound. She was being shrink wrapped and was dying. Fortunately her beak was out of the pip hole and she lastsd long enough for me to get to her. An hour and 45 minutes later after painstaking warm sponges and water...
