Honestly, I would say give her as much as she'll eat; she needs as much nourishment as she can get right now and she won't eat more than she needs. Try to mix it in with other things like you have been doing to make sure she's not just eating eggs. Good luck, and keep us updated!
Put them on grower feed, then layer at 18 weeks. Whatever you do make sure it's a slow transition -- mix what you have now with the new feed, adding more each day until you are fully feeding the new feed. This helps prevent disruptions in the digestive system.
Welcome! I'm truly so glad you've come here! Morrocco... What's it like there? I have a friend who once lived there. Don't worry about your English -- we all understand. Hope you have a great time at BYC!!:celebrate:wee:welcome:woot:ya
My neighbor has chickens and asked me for help. I've never seen this before and I don't know what to do.
She said that the chicken is avoiding putting weight on it, but doesn't express pain when she spreads the toes out. I'll try to get more information as it comes.
Thanks again everyone! I'm amazed every time I come to this site at how helpful and fun people are here.
And yes, it has been 'permanently dispatched'.;)
I called animal control and they euthanized it. Kind of sad because the coon looked almost sweet from the outside of the cage. But I know...
Thanks everyone for your help!! Look at what I found this morning...
I used marshmallows and eggs (a weird combination, but it worked).
I'll bait it again tonight in case there are more. Thanks again!
There's a raccoon that's been wandering around the neighborhood killing chickens, and I'm trying to help my neighbors trap it.
They have trap that looks sort of like this:
What bait should I use? Any tips? Thanks!
